Briana Knight is a mixed media fiber artist working in East Tennessee, near Knoxville, Tennessee. Depending on the nature of her work, pieces may include various fabrics, digital printing, silk-screening, hand-painting, hand-dyed fabric, charcoal, pastels, and stitching. Along with these mixed-media wall hangings, Briana also designs a variety of other fabric or paper-related goods, including: hand-bound books, wedding guestbooks, wedding decorations, wedding invites, softies (strange little stuffed animals), functional quilts, and more.
Briana grew up in the Puget Sound area of Washington State but earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts — with a concentration in fibers — from East Tennessee State University. After graduating, she returned to Washington State and completed the Fiber Arts Certificate Program at the University of Washington. She has also been a studio assistant at Penland School of Crafts in Bakersville, North Carolina.
