Orbiting portrays a series of nesting and self-orbiting circles and oblong shapes. Each individual system overlaps into the next, and in each of these systems, each circular shape builds upon the next to create depth and transparency. Inspired by the solar and lunar systems.
In this slightly 3-D, fine art and fiber art original, each circular shape is individually built using wire, fabric, machine sewing, and blanket-stitch hand-stitching. The circular shapes are sewn onto a fabric-covered and charcoaled canvas that is stretched over a wooden frame.
Lunar Phase I portrays a series of nesting and self-orbiting circles and oblong shapes. Each individual system overlaps into the next, and in each of these systems, each circular shape builds upon the next. Inspired in part by the lunar systems that surround planets, this fiber art original is the lighter half of a two part lunar series.
This mixed media, fiber art original contains an original drawing on paper, as well as stitching and quilting for texture, color, and line. Finished with matting, glass, and framing.

Lights Above, Lights Below takes inspiration from the lights of the heavens and the lights of the deep. More specifically, the stars in the sky and the bioluminescent lights found in the deep sea of our very planet. This mixed media diptych is meant to evoke the similarities and mysteriousness of these drastically different and enchanting worlds of light.
Ivory to Ebony is a study on invented cloth, where the artwork or “cloth” embodies the idea of its materials. Using pantyhose and wire, this original aims to very subtly reference the stretchy, tubular, and skin-toned properties of pantyhose. In addition to its physical properties, viewers may see scientific and cultural references.
